Museums of Springfield/Eugene, also known as MUSE, exists to strengthen the regional museum community, supporting and promoting our diverse and vibrant culture, resources, and history. MUSE serves as a forum for the promotion of member institutions, idea exchanges, and professional networking. We support each other's missions as community partners. Museums, arboreata, science centers, planetariums, art centers, and historical sites provide resources essential to communities dedicated to creating a stimulating and meaningful quality of life for both residents and visitors alike.

The mission for MUSE is:
• To actively promote members museums at every opportunity;
• To organize and participate in professional development seminars;
• To provide an awareness of the rich heritage our museums bring to the community; and,
• To share information about our professions and institutions with our sister organizations and the community-at-large.

The goals for MUSE are:
• To host one joint public event each year;
• To hold at least one professional-development seminar each ear;
• To meet regularly to professionally network and plan collaborative activities; and,
• To actively court the local media to gain appropriate recognition for each and all of our member organizations.
