Maude
Kerns Art Center is our community's compete visual arts center,
located in an historical landmark church building 1895.
Our
goal is to promote and advocate appreciation and creation of the
visual arts by offering a wide variety of exhibition programs, educational
programs for all ages, facilities for artists, public events, and
support for community artists.
The
Center is dedicated to serving the public through major exhibitions,
art classes, lectures, workshops, outreach programs, and intimate
performances. We provide affordable, on-site co-operative studio
space for working artists in the Club Mud Ceramics Studio. Understanding
the importance of art education, the Center not only offers classes,
workshops, and lectures, but also has internship programs for those
interested in the arts and arts administration.
Club
Mud, a Ceramics Cooperative
Club
Mud is a not-for-profit, mutual benefit association of clay workers.
The group consists of about 30 members and is located in the Maude
Kerns Art Center ceramics studio. Although they work in a cooperative
atmosphere, all members work independently. The level of involvement
varies from casual to full-time occupation. Club Med hours vary
from the museum hours. Call for information.
Art
& the Vineyard
From its inception as a small art auction and wine-tasting event,
Art & the Vineyard has grown into the premier art and wine festival
in the Southern Willamette Valley. The festival, which is the principal
fundraiser for the Maude Kerns Art Center, attracts over 25,000
visitors annually. Monies raised from the festival help fund the
Art Center’s year-round exhibitions and art classes in all
media for children, teens, and adults. Visit
